A great way to learn to animate is to draw flipbooks. They're cheap, require no drawing skills and slap together in a minute or two. Beginning animators can move their skills to the Internet with Flipbook Deluxe and even post their work for others to see.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Log onto the Flipbook website. Click on the "Make" tab to start your animation. You don't have to be a member to draw. The "Proceed Anyway" button will take you to the drawing board. Or you can sign up by going to their login page.
Step2
Pick your paint brush. The brush tool is a cone shaped gray icon with a triangle slider. Slide the triangle to the right to increase the brush size. Choose a color with the color swatches above the brush.
Step3
Paint your first frame in the Flipbook window. You can change brush sizes and colors at any time. Erase with white. Click on "Undo" to go back, or "Delete" to erase the entire frame.
Step4
Advance to the next frame. Flipbook provides 2 options. Click on the solo right arrow to create a new frame that projects the first frame at reduced opacity. Duplicate a frame by clicking on the right arrow pointing to a double image.
Step5
Preview your animation at any stage in the process. You can click on the eye icon to start or stop the replay.
Step6
Click on "Save and Publish" to post your work to the Internet. Your animation must be at least 10 frames long to save. The website will prompt you to enter the title, animation description and your personal information.
