Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Learn to build basic origami bases by starting with the kite base, which is the most common. Begin by folding a valley fold down the center to make a crease that serves as the reference line for the other folds that you will create.

  2. Step 2

Open up the folded paper and take each edge off the base, and bring it over until it meets the baseline that you created with your folds. Make sure to do this on both sides of the crease.

  3. Step 3

Fold your paper 4 times on all of the edges and points to get precise creases. Then fold it diagonally by grabbing along the 2 creased lines to bring it in toward the center until it creates a pyramid shape, and then fold it down.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always look at your diagram carefully and follow the folding sequence exactly. If you get lost, study the diagram. If you still can't see where you got lost, start from the beginning.
