Knowing how to cut cards is a must when playing poker with the guys and gals. It's even more amazing when you can cut them 1-handed. This gives you a free hand to stack your poker chips or distract your buddies at the table. Follow these steps to learn how to cut cards.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Hold the card deck vertically between your thumb and middle finger in a pincher grasp. Position your ring finger alongside your middle finger and secure the bottom of the deck with your pinkie finger. Support the back of the deck against the knuckle of your index finger.
Step2
Turn your hand so that the edge of the cards is parallel with the ground. Brace the side of the cards by moving your pointer finger from behind the cards and placing it above your middle finger. Use the pointer finger to divide the cards and shift half of the deck to the back.
Step3
Grasp the rear section of the deck of cards with your thumb and index finger. Balance the front part of the deck with your middle, ring and pinkie fingers. Turn your hand so that the front of the deck of cards balances on the last 3 fingers.
Step4
Spin the rear half of the cards in a counter-clockwise direction using the 3 bottom fingers. Turn your hand to make the card faces of the rear deck point downwards. Rest the front half of the deck of cards against the index finger's nail.
Step5
Slide the middle finger beneath the front half of the deck of cards. Squeeze the front half with the pointer and ring fingers. Turn the 2 halves around your forefinger so that the front half's corner is braced against the rear half's side.
Step6
Pinch the front of the deck using the index finger and thumb. Drop the rear of the deck allowing it to fall on to the pointer finger. Pull back the index finger to drop the rear of the deck on to your palm and rest the finger under the edge of the deck.
Step7
Push the bottom half of the deck up with the pointer finger while you hold the front half of the deck. Then release it to fall against the rear half's edge. Shove the bottom half of the deck up past the top half, then lower the top half with your index finger. Utilize your thumb to shove what used to be the rear deck over the top deck then straighten out the cards.
