How to Make Turkey and Stuffing Casserole

  • Chopped celery
  • Chopped onion
  • Butter or margarine
  • Soft bread crumbs
  • Salt
  • Ground sage
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Poultry seasoning
  • Cooked turkey, cubed
  • All purpose flour
  • Chicken broth
  • Water
  • Eggs, well beaten
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

      Heat the butter or margarine in a large skillet and saute the celery and onion until tender.

      Place the bread crumbs in a large, greased casserole and stir in the sage, salt, poultry seasoning and pepper. Add the chopped celery and onion and mix it together gently. Stir in the cubed turkey, tossing it lightly so the bread crumbs aren't crushed.

      Melt some more butter or margarine in a small saucepan and stir in the flour and salt. Mix in the water and chicken broth and stir it constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.

      Stir the hot broth mixture slowly into the beaten eggs, add the chopped parsley and pour it over the ingredients in the casserole.

      Cover the casserole dish and bake it at 350 degrees Farenheit for 30 minutes. Remove the cover and bake the turkey and stuffing casserole for 15 more minutes.
