Instructions

    • 1

Assemble all your supplies together to create your musician's box.

    • 2

Determine how large your largest item is and how many small items you have that will need to fit inside.

    • 3

Look around your house or shop for a box large enough to place your largest item in and containing enough compartments to house your small items. Good possibilities are sewing organizers, jewelry boxes, fishing tackle boxes and small tool boxes and bags.

    • 4

Arrange your items inside the box so they fit. Label the compartments if necessary. For instance you may need labels for stripper decks and expanded shells.

Tips & Warnings

  • Consider getting a box you can lock with a key or combination. This will lend an air of mystery to your performances and will keep the curious from going through it and discovering how your tricks are done.

  • Many magic shops sell ready-made boxes and bags for magic supplies. You can also buy smaller bags or boxes to hold your small items, which can then be removed from the larger box and placed in view of the audience.

  • The smaller your tool box is, the more impressed your audience will be with your performance. A large tool box implies that you rely on props rather than skill.
