Step 1
Prepare to be very aggressive for this wakeboard invert. Start by cutting way out wide like a heelside jump. Once the boat starts to pull you back inward, begin edging fearlessly and build lots of speed heading to the wake.
-
Step 2
Get close to your wake, and then adjust from the aggressive edge to the body weight on the heels with the body straight up and down as you move your weight towards the toes. As you carry out the movement fast on the board, it seems like the wake trips you into the air. Adding to that and staying tall at the very tip of your wake, you generate a huge pop. Let your back hand go, so you square up the shoulders to take your wake.
-
Step 3
Guide your body rotation directly back to the shore you're moving towards. Control the rotation by using the shoulders and hips, and help it by looking back with the head slowly, just a tilt, nothing violent. Hold onto the handle to help keep control and rope tight.
-
Step 4
End the rotation by averting the eyes down to the water while bringing your handle closer to the body, keeping excellent control. Bend the knees to take the impact—be ready.
-
Step 5
Land in the downside, in the hole or in the flats and keep control of the rope. Be prepared for any landing.
