How to Have a Friendly Face
You walk right up to some people and ask the time of day without thinking twice about it. Although the person is a stranger, you know they will be happy to answer your question and give helpful tips if needed as well. You approach this person with a smile because they have a friendly face. Does this Spark an idea?

Look at your face in the mirror. Ask yourself if you look friendly. Practice smiling for a few minutes every day. Try doing this in the morning when you are brushing your teeth, washing your face, or combing your hair since you are in front of a mirror then anyway.

Keep a small mirror on your desk in your workplace and look at yourself whenever you get a chance. Smile and relax your face muscles.

Practice your smile in your mirror on the visor of your car when you stop at a red light. Not only go you get a chance to practice but it makes stopping at the light more bearable. Smile at the other drivers.

Smile at people as you pass by them. Keep a smile on your face throughout the day so people know you are friendly.

Make eye contact with other people you see. After the eye contact, flash them that friendly smile.

Offer assistance if you see someone in need. Sometimes you see a person with a puzzled look on their face in front of a store or at the bus stop. Say hello, smile and ask them if they need to know what the bus schedule is or what time the shop opens.

Relax your facial muscles. Whenever you feel tense, it shows on your face. Relax, think pleasant thoughts, smile and feel friendly. This will show up on your friendly face.
