Dyson's washing machines are as dependable as their vacuum cleaners, but sometimes they require a bit of tweaking. Fault code F7 on the CR01 tends to be an urgent problem since it locks you out of the washing machine. You'll want to fix this error as quickly as possible so your clothes don't moulder.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Press the "Mains On/Off" button to turn off all power to your Dyson CR01. It's the round button with the vertical line in the middle on the left side of the button panel.

  2. Step 2

Locate the "Soil Type," "Temperature" and "Power" buttons. You'll need to locate them to fix the F7 error.

  3. Step 3

Hold down the "Temperature" button. Don't let go until the next step.

  4. Step 4

Turn the power back on quickly, in less that 3 seconds. Let go of the "Temperature" button, and push the "Soil Type" button.

  5. Step 5

Wait for the message to display "DIAGNOSTIC MODE 123F7F2F5V127." It should come up right away. If not, start the process again from the beginning.

  6. Step 6

Turn the power off and on again if you see the message from Step 5 on the machine's display. The F7 code should clear, freeing you to open your Dyson washing machine and remove your clothing.
