Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Egg
  • Milk
  • Vegetable or olive oil
  • Can of pineapple rings
  • Paper towels
  1. Step 1

Make a mixture of one cup of flour, a tablespoon of sugar and a half teaspoon of salt. Set it aside.

  2. Step 2

Mix an egg with a cup of milk and two tablespoons of oil. For a healthier fritter, a olive oil can be used. For a richer fritter, use vegetable oil.

  3. Step 3

Put the two mixtures together and beat them with a whisk or a fork. The mixture should be beaten until it is smooth with no lumps.

  4. Step 4

Heat up a pan of oil for frying the fritters. Either olive oil or vegetable oil may be used.

  5. Step 5

Open a can of pineapple rings and drain them. Dip the rings, one at a time, into the mixture. As each pineapple is dipped it should be placed into the heated oil. Fry each pineapple fritter for a few minutes to the desired color. For a crispier fritter, wait until the fritters are dark brown. For more tender fritters, take them out when they are a light golden color.

  6. Step 6

Lay the finished fritters on paper towels to drain the excess oil. Serve while they are still warm.
