Things You'll Need:
- Saw
- 12-inch dowel rod
- File
- Superglue
- Blades
- Thread
- Scissors
- Freezer paper
- Tape
-
Step 1
Use the saw to make a 3/4-inch slot at one end of the dowel rod. Use a dowel rod that is about 1/4-inch wide.
-
Step 2
Sharpen the slotted end of the dowel rod with the file.
-
Step 3
Put superglue inside the slot and insert the blade or blades inside. You may want to use steel blades, but you can use whatever type of blade suites you.
-
Step 4
Wrap thread tightly around the slot. Superglue the ends of the thread to the dowel rod. This will help to strengthen the tip.
-
Step 5
Cut out a 5 inch by 5 inch piece of freezer paper. Roll the paper into a cone so the plastic coated side faces inward.
-
Step 6
Tape the around the entire outside of the cone.
-
Step 7
Superglue the small end of the cone around the unslotted end of the dowel rod. Trim the cone so the end is your desired diameter.
