The Internet has an abundance of films and television episodes that can be downloaded from the World Wide Web. Once the film is on the computer, the film can be viewed and deleted, or burned to a CD or a DVD for later viewing.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Research the Internet or ask for references to find a dependable file-sharing network. Use a popular network to ensure better results. Once the appropriate network is found, download the application to the computer.
Step2
Configure the computer and connection. If using a router, it may be necessary to set up ports for file sharing and port forwarding.
Step3
Activate the P2P program. The program may ask the user to choose shared files or to have permission to examine the files on the computer. Direct the application to the folders where the movies and music will be stored.
Step4
Use the file-sharing program to search for a film. Choose a film that is in an understandable language. Some films are divided into smaller files, making it easier to save on CD. This convenience also makes it necessary to double-check that all parts of the film have been located and downloaded.
Step5
Download and save the file to computer. Insert a DVD or CD if the file is going to be saved on a removable storage disk. Burn the file to the CD or DVD.

Tips & Warnings

  • Before downloading a film, check out the comments left by other users. Previous users may leave notes about which downloads work and which downloads are corrupted.
  • Learn the laws concerning downloading media files and sharing them with other people. Some countries only allow the original downloader the right to view the file.
