Step 1
Locate the Quick Launch Toolbar. The toolbar varies in size, depending on how many shortcuts it's holding and how big you've let it grow. It's at the bottom left of the Windows desktop.
-
Step 2
Right-click the toolbar anywhere where there isn't a shortcut. The easiest spot for doing this is the space between the last Quick Launch shortcut and the rightmost boundary of the toolbar.
-
Step 3
Select the "Open Folder" option from the pop-up menu that appears.
-
Step 4
Move your cursor into an open spot in the folder that appears. Right-click over this empty space. Select "New" and then "Folder" from the menu that appears.
-
Step 5
Give your folder an appropriate name.
-
Step 6
Drag and drop program shortcuts into the new folder. If the shortcut you want to put in the new folder isn't in the Quick Launch folder, look for it on your desktop or in the Start Menu's "Programs" folder.
-
Step 7
Check the Quick Launch Toolbar and see if it contains the new folder and its links, which it should.
