Skincare is an essential part of taking care of your body. The skin is the largest organ on the body, so it's imperative that it is taken care of properly. There are several easy steps to getting flawless skin, but it won't happen overnight. Putting all of these steps together will help your skin feel healthy.

  1. Step 1

    Determine your skin type: oily, dry, sensitive or a combination. Buy cleansers, toners, moisturizers and facial scrubs that suit your skin type. Talk to an associate at the store to find out which one best suits your skin. Make sure the moisturizer has an SPF of 15 or more to prevent damage from UV rays.

  2. Step 2

    Wash your skin twice a day to keep it clean and moisturized. Use a facial scrub once a week. A facial scrub will slough off dead skin cells so your skin will be clear and radiant.

  3. Step 3

    Wash all your makeup off each night. Leaving it all night can be disastrous to your skin.

  4. Step 4

    Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water per day to keep your skin hydrated. Avoid drinks that contain sugar and caffeine, such as soda pop.

  5. Step 5

    Avoid greasy and sugary foods. Eat 5 servings of fruits and 5 servings of vegetables each day to stay healthy.

  6. Step 6

    Don't smoke. The habit will make your skin dry, tight and wrinkly.
