Social networking, Chambers of Commerce meetings and client lunches are all popular ways for people to make a business connection. Marketing your business effectively and establishing points of contact while you make a business connection can help your business become more productive as it thrives.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Attend network luncheons with your local Chamber of Commerce. This is a great way to make a business connection and network with others that are in a similar industry as yours.
Step2
Join the online networking social site LinkedIn to make a business connection with other business people and to market your services and/or products (see Resources below).
Step3
Participate in online business chat forums and answer and ask questions and offer assistance whenever the opportunity presents itself. This helps you in establishing a business connection and also helps people find you when they need help in a particular area of business.
Step4
Pass out your business card everywhere you go. Give your cards to service clerks, postal workers and even administrators at your child's school. You never know who might be in need of your services.
Step5
Ask those with whom you already have contact with in your industry for help in establishing a business connection with a potential client.
