Studying with flashcards has changed with technology. If you or your parents are stuck in the ages of flipping index cards to memorize the state capitals, check out Study Stack online for an innovative way to learn using digital flashcards.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Create a Study Stack account by creating a username and password (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

Browse the hundreds of stacks of flashcards in the Study Stack library. The flashcards are created by other users and kept in a database for everyone to share.

  3. Step 3

Choose the category for study. For example, pick "Geography," then search through the stacks for the topic of study you need like "Capitals."

  4. Step 4

Decide on a format. Choose the stack of flashcards you want to study. Pick between flashcard form, study stack, study table, matching, hangman, word search and more. Each stack converts into the selected format.

  5. Step 5

Study the same subject using different formats. Flip through the digital Study Stack flashcards for awhile, try a game of hangman with the information you're studying.

  6. Step 6

Add notes to the stacks that can be viewed only by you, or create your own stack if you can't find the subject of study.

  7. Step 7

Download the stacks you need to your cell phone or other mobile device for studying on the fly. Study from virtually anywhere at anytime using your mobile device.

Tips & Warnings
  • Find a flashcard stack that's similar to your subject, and add your own notes. Even if the basic stack doesn't have everything you need to study, it's still a good starter stack that can save you study time.
  • Flashcards and other Study Stack digital formats can be printed if you'd prefer or if you don't own a computer.
  • Check your facts with the pre-made Study Stack flashcards you choose. Remember they are created by users like you--who also could make mistakes.
