Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Convene an Eagle Board of Review to verify the candidate's credentials before you hold an Eagle Scout Court of Honor.
Step2
Decide the date, time and place to hold the Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Consider your church, a hall or another place that is important to the scout.
Step3
Make a guest list and purchase or print Eagle Court of Honor invitations. Invite city, county and state politicians and dignitaries, and include the President of the United States.
Step4
Bring the ceremony committee representatives from the troop and the scout's parents together. Work on recognition, ceremony details, participants, decorations, refreshments, printed programs and publicity.
Step5
Draw up a plan to hold an Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Include a Color Guard for the opening flag ceremony, have a rededication of the Eagle candidate, plan to invite at least three guest speakers, prepare the award presentation, inform the scout to prepare his acceptance speech, follow the speech with the Eagle presentation and end with the closing flag ceremony.
Step6
Choose a Master of Ceremonies and rehearse the format of the Eagle Court of Honor with participants. Add a personal touch to the ceremony with music that pays tribute or is special to the Eagle candidate.
Step7
Plan a reception. Make it as simple as cake and drinks or plan an extravagant dinner party.
