How to Delete a Yahoo Email ID From Computer Memory
By Nicholas Smith
If you have visited Yahoo's website and noticed that your Yahoo ID is automatically filled in, it is likely that the ID is stored within your Web browser to prevent you from having to enter it each time you visit Yahoo's website. Usernames are stored by browsers, so you must clear the stored ID from the specific browser you are using, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome.
Internet Explorer
Step 1
Launch Internet Explorer, click the gear-shaped Tools button, select "Internet Options," click "Content," and then click "Settings."
Step 2
Select "Delete AutoComplete History," select "Form Data," and then choose "Passwords."
Step 3
Click "Delete," and then "OK" twice.
Mozilla Firefox
Step 1
Launch Firefox, click "Tools," select "Options," and then click "Security."
Step 2
Select the "Security" tab, click "Saved Passwords," and then click "View Saved Passwords."
Step 3
Delete the entries associated with Yahoo.com. Do not merely uncheck "Remember Passwords," as you are attempting to delete the username from memory, not just the password.
Google Chrome
Step 1
Launch Google Chrome
Step 2
Click "Menu," select "Settings," and then click "Show Advanced Settings."
Step 3
Click "Manage Saved Passwords" in the "Passwords and Forms" section, and then click the "X" next to the Yahoo entry.
