A woven arrow bracelet is one of the easiest of knotted or braided bracelets. With four colors of embroidery floss and one simple knot, you can create a bracelet for yourself and others that looks complicated but is easy to make.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Cut four equal lengths of embroidery floss.

  2. Step 2

Knot the four pieces of embroidery floss together. Make sure the knot won't slip while braiding your bracelet.

  3. Step 3

Tape the threads on a flat surface and spread them out. The threads will be numbered from left to right 1, 2, 3 and 4.

  4. Step 4

Take thread 1 and lay it over thread 2. Wrap the end of thread 1 under thread 2 and over the top section of thread 1. Pull tight.

  5. Step 5

Repeat step 4 again so that you have two knots on thread 2. Then do the same step one time each for thread 3 and thread 4. When you are done, thread 1 will be at the end where thread 4 was at the beginning.

  6. Step 6

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for wrapping thread 2 around threads 3, 4 and 1.

  7. Step 7

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for threads 3 and 4 as they move to the far left position. You will start to see diagonals of color through the bracelet.

  8. Step 8

Repeat steps 4 through seven again to go through all the colors until the bracelet is as long as you need to make it.

  9. Step 9

Knot the end of the embroidery thread off.

  10. Step 10

Trim the ends of the embroidery thread off so that it is all even.
