A water deck can be one of the most powerful Yu Gi Oh decks in the game. While you can purchase a water-based structure deck and it will be strong by itself, search for other cards to make it even better.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start with the "Fury From the Deep" Structure Deck. This will contain most of the best cards to start a water deck with, such as "Levia-Dragon - Daedalus," "Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus" and "A Legendary Ocean."

  2. Step 2

Buy the "Dark Revelation 2" booster packs. They may contain cards to boost a water deck, like "Sea Serpent Warrior of Darkness" or another "Levia-Dragon - Daedalus."

  3. Step 3

Stock up on water monsters that are Level Four with an attack of at least 1800. These are among the strongest monsters you can summon without tributing. "Sea Serpent Warriors of Darkness" is an example.

  4. Step 4

Look for "Giga Gagagigo." Not only is this monster powerful, but you can summon it without tributing if "A Legendary Ocean" in on the field.

  5. Step 5

Add one or two "Umi" cards to the deck, especially if your opponent uses a machine or pyro deck. They will increase your water monsters' attack power and decrease the attack of machine and pyro monsters.

Tips & Warnings
  • "A Legendary Ocean" may be the most useful magic card a water deck can have, because it lets you summon Level 5 Water monsters without tributing and Level 6 ones with only one tribute while increasing their power.
  • You can build a strong water deck, but like any other Yu-Gi-Oh deck, it won't work in a duel if you don't have the right strategy for playing the cards. Yu-Gi-Oh is about strategy as much as strength of cards.
