How to Get a Lot of Kills in Halo 1 Multi-player

The original Halo was a giant leap forward for console video gaming. For the first time, an exciting and graphically stimulating first-person shooter arrived on the console. The multi-player aspect of Halo 1 adds an element of competition to the game. If you enjoy this aspect of the game, there are things you can do to get a lot of kills in Halo 1 multi-player.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

1. Find a heavy weapon as soon as possible. The heavy weapon will usually be located underground or in a hard-to-get-to location. If you cannot get to a heavy weapon, use your pistol. The pistol is the third most useful weapon in the game, after the heavy weapon and the sniper rifle.

2. Watch your radar closely at all times. Listen carefully for footsteps. Know where your opponents are. Never allow an opponent to sneak up on you.

3. Throw a grenade when you first encounter an opponent. The grenade damages your opponent significantly and provides you with the chance to finish her off in one or two shots.

4. Lead your shots when you snipe. Practice sniping frequently so as to learn how far you should lead each shot.

5. Strafe when you are in open areas. This makes it much more difficult for opposed snipers to get a shot at you.

6. Use vehicles to outmaneuver your opponents. Use them to run over your opponents, as well.
