How to Get a Girlfriend in Middle School

Middle School is a lot tougher on guys than Elementary School. The subjects are harder and all of a sudden, it makes a big difference what group you hang with and whether or not you have a girlfriend. You can get a girlfriend in middle school, but it's going to take some work. (Okay, maybe it takes a lot of work.)

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Act like a gentleman no matter what your buddies say. Middle school boys often make fun of girls and think it's hilarious. Girls don't find it funny at all and really hate boys who tease them. Make sure you never make fun of a girl you like, not even behind her back. Eventually, she'll find out and get angry.
Step2
Defend girls from boys who make fun of them—not just one girl, all girls. Word gets around fast and your crush will notice. This can be tough, because some of these guys are your friends. You must stand up and do the right thing—not the easiest thing—to make a great impression.
Step3
Treat her friends nicely. Girls are tight with their best friends, just like guys, but even more. If you want a girl to like you, be respectful of her friends even if you don't like them. If you're nice enough, after a while they'll start to be nice back.
Step4
Help her whenever you can. If she drops a book, pick it up. If she's searching her desk for a pencil, loan her one of yours. Little things add up and soon she'll be thinking what a nice guy you are.
Step5
Be friendly and don't just care for her from a distance. If you're shy, even a quick "Hi, Angela" and a smile can make a great impression.

Tips & Warnings

  • Small gifts for special days (like a birthday) can be nice, but don't go overboard. It's important to know she likes you, not just the things you give her.
  • Never tell one of her secrets to anyone, not even your best friend. Girls take secrets very seriously. If the girl you like finds out you betrayed her trust, you'll never get another chance to have her as a girlfriend.
