Join a growing number of athletes who play girls' lacrosse on club, high school and college levels. Seek a position as a midfielder if you have endurance, speed and want to run the length of the field several times during each game. Midfield positions are generally centers and wings. Midfielders must also be able to play offense and defense.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Run from one end of the field to the other during the entire game. Lead your team's transition from offense to defense when playing a midfield position such as center or wing in girls' lacrosse.

  2. Step 2

Join the four other midfield players in moving the ball to the attackers on your team when playing offense. Know when to become part of the attack team and when to become part of the defensive team. Know if you are a defensive wing, attack wing or center player.

  3. Step 3

Play center midfield position and control the draw that starts the game. Walk to the middle of the field at the beginning of the game after each goal and at the start of each half. Stand face to face with the opposing team's center and hold your stick horizontally. Wait as the referee tosses the girls' lacrosse ball in the air, lift your stick and gain control of the ball for your team.

  4. Step 4

Score as a center midfielder or attack wing. Keep your stick skills sharp and your endurance strong. Know offense and defense if you play a girls' lacrosse midfield position.
