How to Deal With Friends That Won't Go Away
Friends are a great respite from the stresses in life, but there are times that they can get too close. When friends are there constantly and won't go away, it can take some effort to get out from under their suffocating attention. There are ways, though, to get away from your too-close friends without completely alienating them.

1
Get away from the friends at all costs. The longer you can keep the friends away, the more likely they are to get involved in other things. Getting that initial distance is the key to the entire operation and it may require a few little white lies.
-
2
Fake an illness. The illness should be something open ended, like a stomach virus, that can go on for an undetermined amount of time. This gives you excuses for as long as you can sustain the story. By the time your fake illness ends, have a few more excuses ready.

3
Pretend that you are interested in something excruciatingly boring. If all you talk about is the slugs in your yard, eventually the friends you forced to listen to it will want to get as far away from you as possible.
-
4
Be rude if it comes to it. If you constantly talk on the phone while with your friends, they will get the idea that you aren't excited to be with them. Other rude behaviors include showing up extremely late when you have plans together and being obnoxious enough to embarrass your friends in public. Someone who is embarrassed to be seen with you is not likely to make more plans with you and will go away quietly.
