Tying a great knot can be tricky. There's the worry it may not hold, be too complex or that it will become a tangled mess. This ninja knot is quick to tie, as well as being simple to set up and take apart.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Rope
  • Branch or pole
  1. Step 1

Fold one end of the rope back onto itself to form a loop.

  2. Step 2

Tie a normal knot to keep the loop in place. Ensure this knot is secure so the ninja knot will not unwrap itself.

  3. Step 3

Wrap the looped end of the rope around a branch or pole 3 times, then thread the loop under the middle wrap. Keeping the wraps loose at this point will make threading through the loop easier.

  4. Step 4

Pull the rest of the rope through the loop and pull to tighten the ninja knot.

  5. Step 5

Release the knot by pulling the free part of the rope through the loop and unwrap it from the branch or pole.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't try to use this knot for dangerous stunts or tricks.
  • Don't put excessive load on the rope that could cause it to break.
