Create a variety of furniture by twisting pipe cleaners together. You can bend and twist pipe cleaners together to make some neat shapes. Start with something simple like a pipe cleaner chair.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Fold a pipe cleaner into a square. Twist the ends so that they are joined. Bend another pipe cleaner into a second square.

  2. Step 2

Cut a third pipe cleaner into small pieces about two inches long. You will use these pieces to join the chair together. Hold the two squares together at a 90-degree angle.

  3. Step 3

Join the squares together by twisting the small pieces around the bottom of the top square and the top of the bottom square. Use several pieces so that the top and bottom are joined tightly at 90-degrees. This forms the base of the chair.

  4. Step 4

Cut two pipe cleaners in half. Take one piece and bend it in half. Bend it over one corner of the chair's bottom piece. Twist it around the corner and bring the ends down to be a leg. Twist the ends to make a round foot at the bottom of the leg.

  5. Step 5

Take another piece and bend it in half. Bend it over a second corner of the chair's bottom piece. Twist it around the corner and make another leg. Twist the ends to make another foot. Repeat with two more pieces of pipe cleaner so that you have four legs.

  6. Step 6

Create fancier chairs by using fabric over the basic chair frame. Cover the squares with felt to make the chair look more realistic.

  7. Step 7

Make little cushions out of fabric squares. Sew the fabric squares on three sides. Stuff cotton batting into the squares until the squares are puffy and firm. Sew the fourth side up to finish the cushions off and to keep the stuffing in. Place the cushions on the seat of the pipe cleaner chair.

Tips & Warnings
  • Create a round chair by making circles instead of squares for the frame.
