Skateboards can make doing laundry easier, cut down laundry time and may even make the laundry time a little more fun. Follow these tips to make a skateboard your new go-to item when clothes need to be washed.

Step1

Place a skateboard underneath laundry chutes or hampers. When you get ready to do laundry, simply roll the hamper and the skateboard over to your laundry room (or to the door if you do laundry at a laundry mat). Use the skateboard to help transfer laundry baskets full of clean clothes back to dressers or closets.

Step2

Keep a skateboard in your laundry room. Put laundry supplies on top of the skateboard and roll it under a table or ironing board to save laundry room space. Roll the skateboard out when you need to use laundry supplies and roll it back in place when you're done.

Step3

Use a skateboard to quickly move from room to room while collecting laundry. If you can ride a skateboard and balance a laundry basket or carry a laundry bag while doing so, you can reduce your laundry time and have more time to do fun things.

Tips & Warnings

Look for laundry bags that with handles that can easily fit over your body if you intend to use a bag while skating from room to room. These bags free up your hands.
Be sure to warn roommates or family members about the way you prefer to use the skateboard. They may accidentally hurt themselves if you don't warn them about the skateboards around the house.
Do not attempt to ride the skateboard while carrying a laundry basket or laundry bag if you're not an experienced skateboarder.
