How to Set Webcam Preferences in Trillian

If you have a Yahoo account associated with Trillian, you can set your webcam to work with Trillian through your Yahoo account. If you choose to do this, there are several preferences you can set to get the best experience while using your webcam with Trillian.

Instructions

1. Open Trillian so it is loaded onto your status bar. Double-click the Trillian icon so the interface is open on your desktop.

2. Choose the "Trillian" menu, point to "Connection" and click on "Manage my Connections" to open the "Trillian Preferences" window to the "Identities & Connections" section.

3. Click to select the Yahoo account that is associated with Trillian from the list of connections.

4. Choose the "Preferences" button to go to the "Advanced Preferences" section. Click the "Webcam" tab to display the webcam preferences for your Trillian account.

5. Use the slider to control the image quality in the "Image Quality" section of the window. You can choose to broadcast your webcam as a "Small Image" or "Large Image" in the "Broadcast my Webcam as" section.

6. Decide how you want your images to be viewed in the next section. Here you can decide if you want everyone to view your webcam or only contacts that have permission.

7. Click the "Save Settings" button to save the webcam preferences. You can click "Close" to close the "Trillian Preferences" window and return to the Trillian interface.

Tips & Warnings

• Start your webcam by right-clicking on your yahoo account in the Trillian interface and choosing "Start My Webcam" from the shortcut menu.
