How to Delete a Contact in Trillian

If you have a contact on Trillian Instant Messenger that you no longer want to have as a contact, you can easily delete this person. This is an easy process that takes only a few seconds to complete. Follow the steps below to find out how you can delete a contact from your "My Contacts" list in Trillian.

Instructions

1. Start Trillian 3 Instant Messenger and wait for it to load onto your status bar. Double-click the Trillian icon to open the interface onto your desktop so you can view your contacts.

2. Click to select the contact from your "My Contacts" list that you want to delete. The name will become highlighted in gray meaning that is selected.

3. Right-click on the name you have selected and choose "Delete" from the shortcut menu. You will receive a pop-up dialog box asking you to confirm that you want to delete that contact.

4. Click the "Yes" button to continue to delete the selected contact. The contact will now be deleted from your contact list within Trillian.

Tips & Warnings

• You can also delete a contact by selecting the contact from the "My Contacts" and pressing the "Delete" key on your keyboard. The contact will be deleted from your "My Contacts" list after you confirm that you want to delete the contact.

• Make sure you really want to delete a contact before you go through the process of deleting them. This process is permanent and you can only get the contact back on your list by going through the "Add Contact" process again.
