How to FTP Picasa Photos in One Click

Picasa is a free photo-editing software from Google. Download Picasa from the web. A file transfer protocol (FTP) is a program that will transfer your photos from your computer to a webpage. You can also use FTP to send your photos to anyone who has access to your FTP file page.

      Download Picasa to your computer at Picasa.google.com. Download a free FTP client such as Smartftp.com.

      Pick out the photos you want for FTP. Make sure you have edited them before you display them on your webpage or share them with family and friends.

      Open Picasa. Set up Picasa to work with your FTP client.

      Choose "tools" from the menu bar. Now choose "experimental" from the drop down list. This will open another drop down list. Choose "publish via ftp".

      Select the size for your photos. Bigger pictures take up more space and may not display well. Choose a medium range such as 640 for best results with FTP.

      Name your gallery and choose a template. Now add your FTP service to your Picasa account by choosing "account manager" and filling out the form that populates. Then click add account.

      Fill out the form that appears that says "account settings". Now click "verify connection" located at the bottom of the same screen. You will get the success screen. Click "ok". Your photos move via FTP in that one click.
