How to Apply Eye Candy in Fireworks
Eye Candy is a plug-in for Fireworks MX developed by Alien Skin Software. This filter can be used to apply a wide variety of effects that can really make objects within your Fireworks document take on a life of their own.

Start Fireworks MX. Open a document that contains an object or image to which you would like to apply the Eye Candy filter.

Select the object that you would like to apply the eye candy filter to by clicking anywhere on it. It will now be surrounded with a blue outline and sizing handles. The properties for the object will be displayed in the "Properties" pane at the bottom of the screen.

Click the "+" button by the word "Effects" to bring up the pop-up menu that contains the effects that can be applied to the selected Fireworks object.

Choose the "Eye Candy" menu and click the effect from the submenu that you want to apply to the selected object. The effect will immediately be applied to the object.

Double-click on the eye candy effect you have just applied from the list of effects under the word "Effects" on the "Properties" pane. A small window will appear with the settings for the effect.

Change the settings for the eye candy effect you have just applied using the sliders and text boxes within the window. They will immediately be applied and displayed on the selected object.
