Google Analytics allows you to track, view, and analyze traffic on your website. Google Analytics provides a large number of pre-configured reports--more than 80 at last count. Reports are generated on the fly based on information in your logs and are easily accessible when you access your account. Follow these steps to view reports in Google Analytics.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Open your web browser. Log in to Google Analytics using your login and password. If you're this is your first time, create a Google login and password. Take note that the login and password you create is accessible for other services.
Step2
Click "View Reports" at the top of the screen. Review the list of available reports and select the report you wish to view.
Step3
Select the profile that holds the data you want to review from the profiles drop-down menu. If you have one profile, no profile selection is necessary.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your reports do not appear to contain data, check the status area in the Analytics Settings page. Make sure that the status indicates that Google Analytics is receiving data from your website.
  • Make sure that you have set the time zone setting in Google Analytics to your local time zone. Otherwise, you may misinterpret data presented in your report.
