How to Play Virtua Tennis 3 on a PC

Install Virtua Tennis 3 Software

Insert the game disc into the CD or DVD drive of your PC. After a few seconds and if you have Windows Vista, you may be prompted to give permission to download the game. Older operating systems will usually go through the downloading process automatically.

Follow the prompts to download and install the game. This could take several minutes depending on the speed of your computer.

Click on the Virtua Tennis 3 icon which should be created automatically on your desktop. If not, go to your computer programs and click on the Virtua Tennis 3 link.

Allow the game to boot up. This should be a 10-to-30-second process, again depending on your connection speed.

Open Virtua Tennis 3's main menu. Here you will have the options to play an exhibition game, tour or mini games. Pick "Exhibition."

Pick a tennis player. All the top stars are available, from Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal on the men's side to Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams on the women's side. Each player has a specific strong point. Federer is known for his precision, while Sharapova can hit the tennis ball hard.

Decide on an opponent. The PC will play the role of the opponent.

Configure your controls to best suit you. This is done in the "Options" menu.

Serve the ball based on the controls you selected.

Return the volley by moving your player into position and then hitting the appropriate control to swing. Continue doing so until a player earns a point. The first one to score 4 (tallied as follows: 0=Love, 1=15, 2=30, 3=40 and 4=winner) wins, assuming he has at least a two point lead. If not, the game continues.
