How to Customize Thunderbird
Thunderbird allows you to customize, secure and organize your email. You can search and find messages easily, have enhanced security and privacy and even listen to music right our of your email inbox. Follow these steps to customize Thunderbird to suit your needs.

Right-click on the mail toolbar to customize it. Click on "Customize." The dialog box will appear.

Add buttons to the Mail toolbar by dragging them from the Customize Toolbar and dropping them wherever you want them on the toolbar.

Remove buttons from the Mail toolbar by dragging them and dropping them above the Customize Toolbar dialog.

Insert or remove spaces, vertical separators or flexible spaces. Flexible spaces adjust size depending on the width of the Thunderbird's window. It is always in the same spot. It doesn't matter how wide the Thunderbird window is.

Adjust the setting on the Mail Toolbar by using the controls located at the bottom of the Customize Toolbar dialog. You can chance the size of the icons and decide which you want to be displayed.

Edit, add or remove views on the Thunderbird Search Bar. All is the default setting, and Unread is a standard setting. The menu also shows the actual views and your labels. Click on Customize under the View drop-down menu. This is where you change the views.

Search for emails quickly on the Thunderbird system by typing keywords into the input field. Only emails with those words in the subject line will pop up. You can search by sender, subject, message, etc by clicking on the magnifying glass icon.

Tips & Warnings
Create a folder to save Thunderbird's Views. Go to the View drop-down menu. Click on "Save View as a Folder."
