There is no doubt that Kate Beckinsale has one of the most sought-after bodies in Hollywood. Kate has a body of steel and has been showcased in form-fitting leather outfits in movies like "Van Helsing" and "Underworld." Kate trains with personal trainer Valerie Waters to tone her body and to get into ultimate shape when the movie role calls for it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Establish a workout schedule that works for you. One of Valerie's tips is, "consistency is key: 30 minutes at the gym several times per day is better than 1 time for 3 hours." Try working out in the morning to keep metabolism burning all day long. Pick the schedule that works best and stick with it.

  2. Step 2

Incorporate circuit training into workout schedule. Kate likes to train by combining light weight training with circuit training. To train for the movie "Underworld", Kate also added martial arts to her routine. Try to keep your workout fresh by incorporating new activities, such as boxing and running, to challenge different muscle groups.

  3. Step 3

Build upper-body strength like Kate did for "Van Helsing" by working the biceps and triceps. Trainer Valerie Waters had Kate use a resistance tube to work triceps by moving the resistance tube above your head and repeating for each arm. Valerie suggests to only take a 60-second break between sets of 15 reps. Work the biceps like Kate by standing on the resistance tube and, while holding the tube, raise your arms from hip level into a curl. Repeat for three sets of 15 repetitions.
