Unfussy and simple, Gwyneth Paltrow's long hair is the envy of many women. Long, flowing, and seemingly effortless, it's hard to imagine it takes work to maintain such a style. To envision this look think Rapunzel meets California chic. This style can look great as long as it is properly maintained.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Cleanse and condition using a body-building formula. Gwyneth uses a sulphate-free shampoo cleanser to maintain her blond shade.

  2. Step 2

Use the right products. After cleansing and conditioning, apply a lightweight styling balm to protect hair from heat and add definition and hold.

  3. Step 3

Blow-dry it straight. For Gwyneth, "Straightening my hair is big for me in terms of feeling confident," she said in "Vogue" magazine. Use a product like the T3 hair dryer; it's expensive but dries hair faster and without the damage of conventional dryers.

  4. Step 4

Add some wave for a Seventies, hippie look. Gwyneth wears her hair long and loose, and a little added wave makes for a flowing look. Wrap some top sections of hair around an inch-and-a-half-wide barrel curling iron starting at your ears.

  5. Step 5

Take your vitamins. According to "In Style" magazine, Gwyneth takes prenatal vitamins from New Chapter Organics to maintain the health of her hair.

  6. Step 6

Use a hair mask once a month. Gwyneth's hair is fine, so any more than that will weigh it down. Choose a moisturizing, restorative hair mask and leave on for just a couple minutes to repair cumulative styling damage.
