How to Hit Like Albert Pujols
Albert Pujols is the only player in Major League Baseball history to hit 30 home runs in each of his first seven seasons. Only one player, Ralph Kiner, hit more runs during his first five seasons than Pujols. However, Pujols is more than a dominant home run hitter. Through a combination of strength and skill, he has mastered several aspects of hitting.

1
Lift weights. Albert Pujols has tremendous upper body and lower body strength, which he has accomplished by a strict workout regimen. A weight lifting program combined with exercise and a healthy high-calorie diet will be necessary to develop this kind of strength.
-
2
Have a unique batting stance. Albert Pujols uses an unconventional batting stance in which he squats as if he is sitting on a chair and sticks his bat straight up in the air.
-
-
3
Focus on both home runs and batting average. In addition to be a top home run hitter, Albert Pujols usually finishes among the league leaders in batting average. This means you will have to only concentrate on hitting home runs when you get pitches up in the strike zone on the middle or inside part of the plate. Look for base hits on low and outside pitches.
-
4
Take walks. If you're going to hit like Albert Pujols, pitchers will throw you a lot of balls. Pujols takes most of these pitches and ends up with a lot of walks. Swinging at these pitches will bring down your batting average.
-
5
Hit the ball in the air. Albert Pujols lacks speed so hitting the ball on the ground does not benefit him like other hitters. Try to hit line drives in the gaps.
-
6
Develop consistency. Albert Pujols hits a similar amount of home runs every year and his batting average remains consistent.

first of all, pujols is posibly the best hitter of all time and certainly the best hitter in baseball today. Albert was asked in an interview about all his homeruns and he said he doesnt think of himself as a homerun hitter but a line drive hitter. Trying to hit for homeruns and average is way to complicated and you will be much more successful if you simply try to hit the ball hard. Most of his homeruns arent huge fly balls but instead they are high line drives. Also, a weird batting stance has absolutely nothing to do with hitting just be in a comfortable athletic position
