Broiling salmon is a quick and easy, as well as a healthy alternative to frying.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • salmon steaks or fillets
  • broiler
  • cookie sheet or pan
  • butter or oil (optional)
  • marinade (optional)

Step1
If you choose to use a marinade, marinate in the refrigerator for an hour or more before broiling.
Step2
Place salmon on cookie sheet and put 4-5 inches under heated broiler.
Step3
Cook 10 minutes for every inch of salmon, or until desired doneness. Baste with butter or oil every few minutes if desired. You can turn the salmon, but it is not necessary to cook thoroughly.

Tips & Warnings

  • Watch your fish, especially if it is a thinner piece, as broilers cook hot and fast.
