How to Stop a Hiccup
We all have hiccups and some of us are just better at handling it than others. A hiccup is essentially a pressure problem that needs to be relieved. The diaphragm needs to be readjusted.

First, do some breathing exercises. Slowly breath in and out for about a minute taking deep breaths. The purpose of this is to get you ready for the next step.

Right after you've just hiccuped, take a deep breath (as much air as you can take in). Then, force yourself to take in one more gulp of air. This will ensure that you've pressurized your lungs as much as possible.

Hold your breath as long as possible. Just when you think you need to release, hold it in 3 more seconds. Then exhale. If you followed these directions, your hiccup should be gone. If it didn't, repeat the steps but do it honestly this time so that you really have taken as much air as you can and have held your breath as long as you can. If it doesn't work after that, go see a doctor.
