Things You’ll Need:
- 2 cans 16 oz refried beans
- Lime juice
- chili powder
- minced garlic
- ground cumin
- optional hot pepper sauce
- avocadoes
- cilantro
- sour cream
- cheese
- large tomato
- sliced scallions (optional)
- tortilla chips
Step1
You will want a big plate- that you can put all your layers in. Either a plate or a bowl. We have a chip bowl we use. Then we put a bowl of chips next to it.
Step2
You need to start with the bean layer: mix ingredients in bowl with spatula mound in center of a 12 inch or larger serving plate and shape into a flat circle about 8-10 inches across:
Add Together:
2 cans (16 oz) refried beans
2 Tablespoons Lime Juice
2 Tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. each of minced garlic, ground cumin, and optional hot pepper sauce
Step3
Add guacamole layer to bean level. Halve avocadoes, scoop flesh into a bowl and mash with lime juice, cilantro, garlic and salt until smooth. Spread over bean layer and top with sour cream and cheese.

3/4 cup sour cream
2/3 cup cheese
Step4
Salsa layer- mix ingredients in bowl and drain juices and spoon over cheese.
1 large tomato seeded and chopped about 1 cup
1/4 cup sliced scallions
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 Tablespoon lime juice
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
