The mailbox is overflowing with ads, fliers and bills. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the next time you went to it, there was something unexpected just for you?

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Stamps
  • Pen
  • Card (s)
Step1
Decide who you are going to send cards to. Do not make the list too long or the task becomes big. You should try to keep it under 10 and remember you can rotate who you send the cards to.
Step2
Now buy the cards. This is the fun part, cards can be found in card and stationary stores, but also big retail stores (big box) and most supermarkets. Look for non traditional holiday cards to be sold in packages of 6 - 10 cards. These are great for mass card sending. Or you can personalize each card selection.
Step3
card organizer Keep cards organized. This is the key to card sending. An organizer can be purchased at a card store or you can create your own file. Just make tabs for each category (ie birthday, sympathy and for each month). When you buy a card or have leftover bulk cards, store them here and you are ready to go!
Step4
Pen Send cards. This is the fun part. Sit down and send the cards. If you purchase cards with sayings, you do not even have to write a lot. A simple "Happy Halloween, I have been thinking of you" will be enough and you will make someones day!

Tips & Warnings

  • Sign up for the card stores points programs. You will earn points/credits for free merchandise and many times get catalogs with previews.
  • Buy cards after the holiday is over IE March 18 for after St. Patrick's Day clearance sales.
  • There are also online cards that you can send right from your computer. These are not hand written and not as personal but will make due in a pinch.

on 8/6/2008 Maybe it's just me, but I love writing cards. I send them on to a special person once every 3-4 weeks.
