Many peoples drink alcohol in excess to celebrate the party or dinner and the social places. However, few know the extent to which they are abusing their livers in the process. The liver is like a factory which filters the toxicity of the body. It also creates gall and contains immune tissues that rid the body of harmful germs. Liver cancer was the highest cause of death by illness for peoples in the world. It also showed that the number of men dying from the disease was 7.9 times that of women. It may due to the fact that men drink more alcohol and eat more nutritionally unbalanced food than women. The liver is an organ that does not give early warning signs when it is in bad shape. Once you feel sick in your liver side, it means it's already in a serious state and it maybe too late to bring back normal functioning. Therefore, looking after your liver in life is extremely important.

Step1
Be cautious about what you take to help your liver: Many people tend to take various kinds of medicine or nutrients for their livers. But in many cases, these could cause serious side effects, especially if one has hepatitis.
Step2
Do not drink too much alcohol: All alcohol is bad for your liver. After excessive drinking, do not take medicine to keep you awake. This may put extra stress on your liver.
Step3
Be careful about what you eat.
Step4
Eat a balanced diet and avoid excess.
Step5
Do not eat too much fried food.
Step6
Eat grains, fruit and vegetables that contain fiber as these aid detoxification.
Step7
Avoid eating to too much dessert as this usually contains a lot of fat.
Step8
On the other hand do not starve your body. This will deny it getting needed minerals and other nutritional elements essential for your body.
Step9
Do not try to lose weight too quickly. Losing more than a kilogram a week may put extra stress on your liver.
Step10
Exercise regularly.
