Make sure that you do know for sure that this particular situation is occurring because assuming something so horrible can be devastating to a relationship.
Step2
When you bring up the situation keep your normal tone of voice. Do not raise your voice or speak as if you are depressed.

Explain to him that you do know what is going on and ask him why has he come to that choice.
Step4
Listen to him and try to understand. Let him know that he can come to you and talk to you about anything does not matter uf it is hurtful or not.
Step5
Ask if there is anything that you did wrong to cause that to happen. If the answer is yes, promise that you will not do what you did to cause it ever again and follow that promise.
