Do you feel like your skin looks a little dull? Do you wish for bright, healthy, gorgeous skin? There are a bunch of products out there that claim to give your skin a fresh start, so I will tell you about the ones that I have found to be really great at renewing the skin and giving you that radiance we all hope for.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Exfoliant
  • Weekly enzyme treatment
  • Nighttime treatment
  • Skin-brightening cosmetics

Step1
The first step to smooth, radiant skin is to exfoliate the skin and remove the dead skin cells at the surface. Doing so will also help to even out the complexion and leave your face feeling soft and supple. One of my all-time favorite skin care brands, Dermologica, has a wonderful exfoliant, Skin Prep Scrub. It is very soothing to the skin and it's one of the only products that doesn't make my face turn red after use. You can find this at Ulta.com. Looking for one you can grab at the drugstore? I like Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub. It is very gentle on the skin and is another great choice for those with sensitive skin, and the price is gentle to your pocketbook too. Check out drugstore.com for this product's reviews.
Step2
I have found that using Peter Thomas Roth's Pumpkin Enzyme Peel once a week has dramatically helped my complexion. It contains pumpkin enzymes that work to remove dead skin cells and leaves my skin incredibly soft. It kind of tingles a lot at first, but it doesn't leave my skin feeling irritated or too tight. Of course everyone's skin is different, so hopefully this could be a good weekly treatment for you. It smells SO delicious, but DON'T eat it! Find this at Sephora.com.
Step3
I MUST recommend this product: Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Gel. I have been using this for a month, every night, and I absolutely love it. It promotes cell turnover as you sleep so that you wake up with fresh, glowing skin. At $45 at Sephora.com, it is a great price for a nighttime treatment, compared to most luxury-brand products. Still want something a little cheaper? There are some fabulous products out there that can have the same purpose: Alpha Hydrox AHA Soufflé is a great choice at around $15 for daily protection against free radicals (which make the skin age and look duller) and for continuous improvement of your skin's texture. Apply this after cleansing morning and night. Check out drugstore.com for this fabulous product.
Step4
After doing your skin care routine and makeup application, one final step to glowing skin is by using a bronzer/blush duo with skin brightening pigments in them. Try Sephora Blush Me Twice. I feel like when I use this my skin looks instantly brighter, and it gives me a little color too! I also like that it's a fabulous $16! That's a great price for a blush and a bronzer! Also, try Smashbox Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion if you would like the effect of an all-over glow! Simply add it to your foundation and look like you should be walking the runway. I like the way this product also helps you to blend your foundation a little better, too, which is another way to get an even, beautiful complexion.

Tips & Warnings

  • Smoking can increase dullness in the skin.
  • Drink plenty of water for a healthy complexion.
  • Be sure to wash your face EVERY night - removing your makeup is key.
