I have COPD which makes it very difficult to do anything that involves cleaning products with lots of fumes. This includes bleach, ammonia and especially oven cleaners. This works amazingly well and there are no toxic fumes in your home.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1/4 cup washing soda
  • 1 box of baking soda
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 10 drops thyme essential oil
  • 10 drops lemon essential oil

Step1
Combine the salt, washing soda and baking soda in a plastic container and add just enough water to make a paste.
Step2
Remove the oven racks and heat the over to 250 degrees for 15 minutes. Turn off the oven and leave the door open. Carefully spread the paste all over the oven and allow to sit for 30 minutes.
Step3
Combine the vinegar and essential oils in a clean spray bottle and shake well. Spray the oven walls and wipe clean. Rinse well with a wet sponge or cloth.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can use a bit more salt if you have a lot of baked on food splatters.
