Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • berry baskets
  • stencils and paint or small decorations
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2/3 c sugar
  • one egg
  • 1 tablespoon lavender flowers
  • 1 1/4 cup self rising flour
  • parchment lined cookie sheet
  • lavender, rosemary, thyme and rosebuds
  • paper doily
  1. Step 1

Decorate the berry baskets with stencils and paint, small decorations or both. Make the lavender cookies.

  2. Step 2

Cream 1 cup unsalted butter and 2/3 cup (minus one tablespoon) sugar. Add the egg and beat well. Stir in 1 tablespoon lavender flowers and 1 1/4 cups self rising flour. Drop by teaspoon onto the parchment lined cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 18 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Cool the cookies and place in the baskets.

  4. Step 4

Place the stems of the lavender, rosemary, thyme and rosebuds through a hold in the paper doily. Tie ribbons of your choice near the base of the buds to hold together and place one in each basket with the cookies.
