Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Describe, Describe, Describe. Action verbs will help get the attention you want on a resume.
Step2
The word I is unacceptable in a resume. Remember when in doubt use a verb.
Step3
Keep your sentences short and sweet. Do not ramble, give specifics then leave the rest to talk about during an interview.
Step4
Spell it out. Unless you just have to do not use abbreviation. Companies are full of diverse people and different abbreviations mean different things to different people, even if you think of the word as universal.
Step5
Use those numbers. It will be in your favor to be specific when the numbers favor you. For example. Instead of saying you was in charge of the finance department's monthly budget, say you was in charge of a “X” dollar amount monthly budget for the finance department.

on 4/5/2008 I am a true believer in using stong language skills for everything! I wanted to stop swearing a few years ago.. I decided to try and express what I was feeling with the best words I could use to actually describe what I was talking about! Great Article Amy! Remember there are several "Online Dictionaries" to use for Resumes and daily improvment of language skill sets! Your Eye Avitar is creeping me out girl! Just kidding! Let's see, you have used your mouth, smile, face, eye.. what is the next body part (avitar) for you? ..lol! Caio.. Bailey!
