Things You’ll Need:
- Salmon and receipe ingredients
- Broiler pan lined with aluminum foil
- Spatula to remove hot salmon to the plate
- Oven gloves, tongs or kitchen towels to get broiler pan from the oven
Step1
Prepare and marinate the salmon. Slice the salmon filets into serving pieces if they have not been cut by the fish monger. Marinade can be as simple as plain lemon juice or a combination of ingredients as follows:
6 Pcs salmon filet
3 Tb. Olive oil.
2 Tb. Fresh garlic, Grated.
2 Tb. Fresh ginger, grated.
1 Tb. soy sauce.
1 Tb. Mirin (Japanese cooking wine).
1 Tsp. Sesame oil.
Salt and black pepper to taste.
Place salmon in a non reactive container, mix marinade ingredients and pour over the fish, making sure to get pieces of garlic and ginger oneach portion. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to marinate up to 1 1/2 hours.
Step2
Preheat oven to broil. Place salmon onto foil lined broiler tray and pour remaining marinade over salmon.
Step3
Place broiler tray with salmon under broiler and allow to broil about 7-9 minutes depending upon desired degree of done ness.
Step4
Remove broiler tray to heat proof surface and place salmon on plates, leaving any marinade on the foil to cool for easy disposal.
