Stress, vacations, children, sometimes it can all just be too much on your stomach and digestive systems. Natural teas made with chamomile, ginger, and peppermint can soothe a variety of stomach ailments and keep you going through the day.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Chamomile tea has a distinctive, delicate sweet apple flavor and aroma. It can soothe stomach cramps and ease indigestion. It has also been highly recommended throughout the years as a wonderful aid to help you relax before bed.

  2. Step 2

Ginger can be simmered in a tea to ease motion or pregnancy related sickness. (We all know the benefits of ginger-ale for a sick stomach.) Just simmer a couple of quarter sized slices of ginger root in a cup of water for a few minutes. Let it steep for twenty minutes or so, add a teaspoon of honey or sugar and sip to ease your stomach.

  3. Step 3

Peppermint is serious medicine for digestive distress. Peppermint tea calms stomach muscles and can ease the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.

on 4/2/2008 I found that eliminating the honey or sugar helps the ginger settle my stomach better. Sometimes the sugar counteracts the good properties of ginger.
