Do you want your lipstick to look its best? We all want the perfect shade, perfect lips, the perfect look and here are a few tips to help you achieve that look.
When buying a new shade, try it on your lips to check how the color REALLY looks. Ask the salesperson for a sample or a cotton swab to apply it.
Step2
Match your lipstick and your lip liner. Brown lip liner with light pink lipstick? Think about it before you wear it.
Step3
If feathering is a problem, apply liner before lipstick.
Step4
Keep lipstick off your teeth by placing your index finger in your mouth, pucker your lips and pull your finger out. The excess color comes off on your finger rather than your teeth.
Step5
Women over fifty should stick to creamy formulas and avoid matte ones. And stay clear of super-dark lipsticks- too harsh a look and the dark color can often age your face.
Step6
Lip brushes give you more precision and control but they aren't essential- unless you are applying red lipstick, which requires more exacting handiwork.
Step7
Emphasize either your lips or your eyes, but not both. If you do your lips up, go for subtle eye make-up.
