Eating organic is a benefit to your body and to the environment. But, how can you afford to eat organic? Read on and see the best tips for going organic on a budget.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Learn what to buy organic. The Environmental Work Group, EWG, tested 45 types of conventionally grown produce and came up with a list ranking from the highest levels of pesticide to lowest levels of pesticide. This list is helpful in determining which produce to buy organic.

    Celery
    Nectarines
    Strawberries
    Cherries
    Lettuce
    Grapes - Imported
    Pears

    Potatoes

  3. Step 3

These fruits and vegetables are relatively safe to buy conventionally grown if you are trying to save money.

    Eggplant
    Broccoli
    Cabbage
    Bananas
    Kiwi
    Asparagus
    Sweet Peas-Frozen
    Mango
    Pineapples
    Sweet Corn-Frozen
